Hypnosis and Bedwetting
Hypnotherapy is gentle, natural and safe treatment for both children and adults who wet the bed. It is possible to reprogram the old behavior so that when the bladder becomes full, the sensations created from the bladder are sent to the brain in time to wake you up to go to the toilet.
How to stop bedwetting for Children over nine, teenagers and adults
Ginny uses several hypno-psychotherapeutic techniques to help children over the age of nine, including teenagers and adults to stop bedwetting easily and gently. Some of the techniques include hypnosis, education, visualisation techniques, metaphors, confidence building, relaxation and past abilities to change expectations, create confidence and start the brain and bladder working together. This sets the path for children and adults to take control of their bodily functions and creates change at an unconscious level in ways that both amaze and surprise the child and adult.
Children between six and nine
Whilst children can still see Ginny at her practice to stop bedwetting, she recommends that they use the Stay Dry at Night program. Ginny developed Stay Dry at Night so that children can learn to stop bedwetting in the comfort of their own home.

Children love listening to their recording at night whilst drifting off to sleep. Some children become totally dry within 2 days, with others it can take a few weeks. Children who don't become dry, do substantially reduce the number of times they wet the bed. Parents and children are amazed at how natural, beautiful and effective the recording is in reducing or stopping bedwetting. The program comes with a diary, information and helpful management tips.Research : Hypnotherapy as a treatment for enuresis.
Abstract:
The main objective of this study was to provide an adequately controlled experimental and clinical study to assess the efficacy of hypnotherapy in the treatment of nocturnal enuresis. Subjects were 48 nocturnal enuretic boys, aged 8-13 yr. Treatment consisted of six standardized sessions, one hourly session per subject per week. Results indicated that hypnotherapy was significantly effective over 6 months in decreasing nocturnal enuresis, compared with both pretreatment baseline enuresis frequency and no-treatment controls. It also suggested that trance induction was not a necessary prerequisite for success. Comparison with other methods of treatment provided evidence that hypnotherapy was an effective alternative or adjunctive form of treatment for enuresis. Authors: Edwards SD, van der Spuy HI
